About Positive Mind Tech
Positive Mind Tech is led by Yvonne Cassidy, an experienced examiner and exam setter, senior UK-qualified teacher, educational consultant, and educational coach. Her work brings together deep subject expertise, examiner insight, and a clear focus on confidence, progress, and outcomes.
Yvonne has taught GCSE and A-level students across state and independent schools, and has held senior leadership roles, including responsibility as Head of GCSEs. Earlier in her career, she worked as an Advisory Teacher, providing a strong foundation for her later work in educational consultancy and school improvement.
She has extensive experience as an examiner across multiple exam boards and qualification levels, including Level 3, Level 5, and Level 7, and has worked as both an exam marker and exam setter. This enables her to translate examiner expectations into clear, practical strategies so students and teachers understand exactly how marks are awarded and how performance can be improved.
Alongside consultancy, Yvonne teaches and supports learners preparing for GCSEs, A-levels, IELTS, and other UK and international examinations. Her subject expertise includes English Language, English Literature, History, and Classical Civilisation, with strong experience across the humanities, including OCR A-level History.
Her work is international in scope. She delivers CPD for schools, colleges, academies, and organisations, and has trained teachers in the UK and internationally. She also supports students and families through bespoke tuition, targeted exam preparation, and strategic educational guidance.
Yvonne is an experienced English teacher and works extensively with English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners. Her approach is underpinned by accelerated learning and educational coaching, helping learners make rapid, sustained progress through clarity, structure, and confidence. She also has extensive experience supporting students with additional needs as well as more able learners.
